How much lease is left on my HDB flat?
A lease that started in 1990 has 62 years 3 months left as at October 2026. 99 years from the start is January 2089.
Only the year was given, so this counts from January 1990. If the lease started later that year, there is up to 11 months more.

HDB flats are sold on 99-year leases. The 99 years count from the lease commencement date, not from the day you bought, so a resale buyer takes over whatever is left. HDB Map Services shows the lease commencement date of each block.
| Lease started | 1990 |
|---|---|
| Lease length | 99 years |
| Time since the lease started | 36 years 9 months |
| Lease left | 62 years 3 months |

How this works
This works out the years left on an HDB lease from the year (and month, if you know it) the lease started; it does not say what the lease does to a price or a loan.
Use the lease commencement year, not the year you bought: a resale flat's lease started when the block was first sold.
